Scientists have created a computer that can

news_13262_1_MDHow to say the Hungarian scientists, the computer is able to better distinguish between shades of a dog barking than a person. After several tests, the scientist Kshaba Molinar (Csaba Molnar) from the Hungarian University Eotvosh LorĂ¡nd (Eotvos Lorand) found that the computer is able to adequately differentiate the acoustic features of barks, and classify them according to the context, for each individual dog.

Computer analyzed more than 6,000 units of the Hungarian sheepdogs barking 14 in six different situations. Lai was recorded on tape, digitized on a computer and analyzed by a special program for different audio tones, depending on the dog's emotional state. Test situations included: stranger, fight, walk, alone, ball, game. The computer was able to correctly classify 43% of cases. Of course, this result is far from perfect, but it is much greater than the average human abilities.
